I sent a breakfast box to my son living in American as a treat for his birthday. However on top of the box was a copy of the Sunday Times with the headlines “100,000 deaths” and pictures of all those who had died. Next to this newspaper was a card saying “Happy Birthday Caz. Have a lovely day. Miss you loads Mum and Dad”. He said “The newspaper in the birthday gift box was very festive”. Fortunately he has a sense of humour. Surely a more appropriate edition of the Sunday Times could have been included in the gift box!
