Chocolate can of course melt and sometimes ‘bloom’ in certain conditions such as in high storage temperatures. This article explains how chocolate blooms are caused and whilst it may give the chocolate a white appearance that may look unappetising, it is safe to eat. We want your chocolate treats to be enjoyed in their best possible condition but melting and blooming can sometimes happen in transit. Please bear this in mind if the Gift Box you want contains a lot of chocolate to be sent to (or through) a hot climate or destination experiencing unusually hot weather and consider if it might be safer to send an alternative box under the circumstances.
